LCMG A7 making a run off Mindinao, Philippines

Hard to believe this is the same boat as M3A7 pictured at Borgen Bay. "Surf and Sand" notes MA7 "was distinguished by a twin 25mm Jap automatic cannon - an extremely potent weapon.." The gun to the rear is a twin 50 cal and that toward the front a 37mm automatic gun. While serving in the Philippines, A7 would take part in the assault up the Agusan River as part of the Agusan Valley Campaign on Mindinao (the longest inland water operation of the Pacific war). The crew was John Denlinger T/4 coxswain, T/5 Miro Petric engineer, and Pfc Christ Veris seaman. Photo by Steve Parris of the 533rd circa March/July 1945.
